Chitol fish (Beel)

1. Body Shape

Deep, elongated, and knife-shaped body.

Anal fin runs along most of the body and merges with the tail.

Moves in a graceful, wave-like motion using the anal fin.

2. Color

Silvery-gray to golden body.

Distinctive dark round spots/ocelli near the tail and along the lower body

Belly silvery white.

3. Head & Mouth

Small head with a pointed snout.

Mouth is large, terminal, and slightly oblique.

4. Size

Commonly 2–5 kg.

Can grow over 1.5 meters and weigh up to 15-20 kg in River.
