Bhagon Fish

1. Body Shape

Elongated, cylindrical, and streamlined body.

Covered with thick, firm, and large scales.

2. Color

Back: Greyish-green to bluish.

Sides: Silvery.

Belly: Whitish.

Horizontal stripes often visible along the body (a key feature).

3. Head & Mouth

Head is broad and flattened.

Mouth small and straight (not protruding).

No barbels (unlike catfish).

4. Size

Usually 20–40 cm, but some species can grow up to 60–90 cm.
